5 stars for the vibes and views, 3 stars for the food evens out to a solid 4. The ambience here is great, with a location right on the water overlooking the lake, live music, cute string lights, and a nice cabin atmosphere. Honestly an ideal dinner location in Lake Tahoe! The food was just ok I would say - my husband got the fish n chips which were very average and I got the salmon rice bowl which was good but also just kind of okay. Despite the average food, I'd still come back for a good time!
Everything about our dinner here was perfection. Our service was excellent. We were greeted with a smile and a knowledgeable server who informed us well of the items on the menu. The atmosphere was perfect with music playing, but not overpowering. The food was delicious. GeT the PIE! It is huge. 4 o is shared and we could barely finish it. Absolutely yummy!
After a nice bike ride, we stopped here for lunch. We ordered the Mango BBQ Rib Plate, a Wedge Salad, and two Sunnyside Burgers. The Mango BBQ Rib Plate and the restaurant's ambiance definitely earned the 5-star rating. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender and delicious, complemented by the mac salad, cucumber, and rice, making for a great lunch. The Wedge Salad received 4 stars. While my wife thought it was decent, she has had better and worse versions, so it was above average for her. The Sunnyside Burgers get 3 stars, while enjoyed by my friends the burgers were just okay. They plan to explore other options on the menu next time. We were tempted by the Hula Pie, which looked amazing as it passed by to other tables, but we decided to pass this time. It's definitely on our list for next visit. Although it wasn't the cheapest lunch, I would recommend this place and plan to return.
Fresh Fish Tacos: Flour Tortillas filled with Cajun Grilled Mahi Mahi, Cabbage, Pico de Gallo, and Tomatillo Sauce Served with Tortilla Chips, and Salsa Roja. Ate these tacos alongside their blonde ale while enjoying the incredible lakeside view. What an experience!! Service was super quick since I ordered at the bar and sat myself at the shelf that overlooked the lake. The staff seemed to be mostly local highschool or college kids, all well mannered as far as I could see. The tacos themselves were probably the best fish tacos I've ever eaten because they were tender, well seasoned and grilled to perfection without being overdone. I HIGHLY recommend stopping here for a relaxing afternoon drink.
Upon arriving late to Lake Tahoe, we were in need of a dining establishment. A gracious waiter kindly offered to accommodate us as the kitchen was closing. We are grateful for the exceptional service provided by him and the rest of the staff during our spontaneous visit. The ambiance was awe-inspiring, making it difficult to imagine ever wanting to leave. The cuisine exceeded our expectations and left us fully satisfied. Even the children were impressed. The ceviche, initially hesitant upon by my husband, turned out to be a surprising hit. The grilled fish tacos were among the best I've had in quite some time. I eagerly look forward to revisiting this superb restaurant in the future.
